Swarachakra does not collect any Personally Identifiable Information.
Swarachakra does collect data such as frequencies of words and word bigrams. It does not collect whole sentences, data entered in numerical fields such as phone numbers or credit card numbers, or data entered in password fields.
When do we collect information?
This information is automatically collected from time to time when the keyboard is used.
How do we use your information?
Swarachakra is a open-source keyboard and is maintained by academic researchers from IIT Bombay with contributions from other volunteers. The information collected is used in academic research in Indian languages, including improving the keyboard and developing other Indian language technologies. The summary data collected is also in the public domain.
