This information is automatically collected from time to time when the keyboard is used.

Swarachakra is a open-source keyboard and is maintained by academic researchers from IIT Bombay with contributions from other volunteers. The information collected is used in academic research in Indian languages, including improving the keyboard and developing other Indian language technologies. The summary data collected is also in the public domain.

Swarachakra does not collect any Personally Identifiable Information. It does not sell data to any organisation.

Third-party products or services

Swarachakra versions 2.4 onwards includes a remote keyboard feature that enables the user to type from one phone to another. It uses QR code to pair two devices. It uses the camera permission only to enable easy pairing of devices. This feature uses the Better Together framework.
